Bart Hawe is an artist whose sculptures are designed to challenge assumptions, often mixing science with metal.

Bart’s flag series explores themes of power, guns and patriotism.  As with most of his sculpture, Bart plays with the psychology of change.

The Washington Post dubbed Bart’s previous exhibit among “the most engaging” among his peers. The project created life size cookie cutters to question American stereo types and choices.

Bart lives outside of Washington, DC, and experimented in glass and plastics before choosing metal as his preferred medium. He sees art as a way to play with concepts and see problems from a new perspective.
